2018 WinterFest & Small Business Saturday Schedule of Events

The big day is almost here! Gather your friends and family and join the community as we celebrate WinterFest & Small Business Saturday on November 24, 2018.

Fuel up for a day of shopping and activities during Breakfast with Santa, hosted by the Ord 8th Graders, at Jubilee Events & Catering. Then take part in the Snowball Drop on the Valley County Courthouse lawn where you can catch snowballs of savings that fall from the sky. Each “snowball” represents varying amounts of Ord Area ChamberBucks and coupons, gift certificates or gifts from participating Chamber members.

You’ll redeem your snowball savings at the Small Business Saturday Shopping Headquarters inside The Golden Husk where you’ll also get to enjoy the Big Give Cocoa Connections and learn about non-profits throughout Valley County and enter to win even more ChamberBucks as part of their Big Give Bingo!

Be sure to shop local throughout the day and stop by Anderson Pharmacy for their Holiday Photo Booth. You and your family can also enjoy an “Incredible” Family Movie at the Ord Township Library followed by a visit from Santa. If you want to help brighten the holiday season for local families in need, take part in the Make Christmas Happen Cornhole Tournament at Scratchtown Brewing Company and then head over to the Community Soup Supper hosted by the Ord Township Library Foundation.

After you warm up with a bowl of soup, head over to the Valley County Museum to experience an Old Fashioned Christmas and visit the Valley Rods Clubhouse for hot chocolate and goodies.

You won’t want to miss all the bright lights, creativity and candy during the annual WinterFest Parade (find parade registration info here), one of the highlights of the day! Following the parade, head over to The Golden Husk for the Holiday Movie, Prancer, and Sing Along as well as some tasty treats to round out the fun-filled day.
