Be a Proud Donor of the 2017 Big Give to Valley County

Valley County was established on March 17th in 1873, which makes this the perfect time to celebrate our home during the 5th Big Give to Valley County! On Friday, March 17th at 10 a.m.  through Saturday, March 18th at 10 a.m., people from across the country that care about our area have an opportunity to support nonprofit organizations which strive to make our county-wide community a great place to live, work, play and give!

Everyone can contribute during the Big Give by making a donation of any amount, large or small, to your favorite participating organizations and sharing your time and talents to help family members, friends and community neighbors!Big Give Logo - Copy

This year’s Big Give organizations include Artissimos-Valley County Art Club, Arcadia Community Boosters, Avenue of Flags, Central Community College Foundation-Ord Learning Center, Central Nebraska Farm Safety Just 4 Kids, Friends of Fort Hartsuff, GLVA-Greater Loup Valley Activities, Heartland Youth Ranch, Helping Hands Ministry, Loup Valley Ag Society, Loup Valley Veterans Memorial Park, North Loup Lions Club, North Loup Popcorn Association, Ord-Arcadia Teammates Chapter, Ord Flag Pole Committee, Ord Golf Club, Ord Public Schools Foundation, Ord Township Library Foundation, St. Mary’s Catholic School Endowment, SynoVation Valley Leadership Academy, The Golden Husk-Valley Performing Arts Theater, Valley County Community Foundation Fund, Valley County Economic Development Endowment, Valley County Health System, Child Development Committee, Valley County Health System Foundation and Valley County Ministerial Association.

Every dollar counts when supporting the 26 local nonprofit organizations participating in The Big Give and you have many options for giving your time, talent and treasure! Learn how you can get involved by visiting this webpage for a list of Big Give organizations including contact information, giving options and volunteer opportunities!

100% of each donation will directly benefit the organization of the donor’s choice!  Look for the Big Give Thermometer Signs on the Courthouse Lawn and in North Loup and Arcadia to see the progress of total donations and total dollars given throughout the 24 hour period!

The Big Give to Valley County has reaped huge benefits for our county-wide community with a combined 1,655 donations yielding contributions of over $300,000.00 to nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting and enhancing our rich quality of life. The benefits of the past four Big Give events do not end with the total contributions, as the annual Big Give also enhances awareness and collaborative efforts of Big Give organizations, recruits first time donors and volunteers for many organizations and engages youth to build our culture of philanthropy.

Be a Proud Donor by supporting the causes you care about most during the 2017 Big Give to Valley County.  Working together we will make a lasting impact on Valley County through local philanthropic efforts for the greater good! Join us in Arcadia at the Community Center on Thursday, March 16th at 7:30 p.m. and in Ord at the High School on Friday, March 17th at 9:00 a.m. for kick-off celebrations of the event!
