Celebrate National Farmers’ Market Week at the ExtraORDinary Farmers’ Market in Ord

Local residents are encouraged to join with their fellow Nebraskans in celebrating National Farmers’ Market Week in Nebraska from August 7-13.  Events are being held at markets across the state in conjunction with the special week.

“Our Farmers’ Market will feature fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash, home baked breads, rolls, pies, chickens, eggs and craft items” said Pat Marsh.  “By purchasing fresh, locally grown produce at your farmers’ market, you are helping to support our local economy.”

ExtraORDinary Farmers’ Market is open each Friday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Little Park on 18th Street between ‘O’ and ‘P’ Streets in Ord.

Additional events will take place during the National Farmers’ Market celebration on August 12th.  For more information regarding the farmers’ market you may contact Vicky Hruby at (308) 628-4427 or Pat Marsh at (308) 728-7645.
