Celebrate Valley County this Friday

Business owners, volunteers, residents and friends of Valley County are invited to gather this Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Trotter Event Center for the Annual Celebration to celebrate the great people and places of our county-wide community.

Throughout the past year, people of Valley County have turned many bright ideas into a reality whether it’s a new business in our community, a new non-profit that serves our residents or programs that further our growth, Valley County continues to thrive and the future is bright!

The Annual Celebration, hosted by the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce, Valley County Economic Development (VCED) and Valley County Community Foundation Fund (VCCFF), provides an opportunity for friends, neighbors and colleagues to come together to enjoy a fun, informal evening of musical entertainment, delicious food and great conversation.

Nominees for annual awards presented by each of the event hosts will also be recognized and winners from each category will be announced Friday evening. Award categories and nominees are as follows:

Sheila Greenland, Valley County native and recording artist, along with other local artists, will be sharing their talents with the crowd and Elyria Gardens Catering will be sharing culinary creations including beef sliders, mini pesto pizzas and a gourmet nacho bar among other tasty hors d’oeuvres. The Trotter Event Center will also have a cash bar available.

Tickets are $20/person and $35/couple and available at the Ord Area Chamber & VCED office in Ord, the VCCFF office in Ord (in The Golden Husk), the Hackel Construction office in Ord and the Progressive Farm Marketing office in Arcadia. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.

A social hour will begin at 6:30 pm with the award presentation beginning at 7:15 pm followed by more musical entertainment.

We look forward to acknowledging all of the nominees for the annual awards as well as celebrating all of the great people and places of Valley County.
