Get Involved with Tour de Nebraska

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce and Valley County Tourism are excited to welcome over 450 cyclists to Ord this summer during Tour de Nebraska. The cyclists will arrive Friday, June 23 for a two-night stay.

The weekend will be full of celebration in honor of Tour de Nebraska’s 30th anniversary, Ord’s 136th birthday and Nebraska’s 150th anniversary! Live music, birthday cake and ice cream socials and many more activities will take place throughout the weekend that community members are invited to be a part of.

Volunteers interested in coordinating activities for Tour de Nebraska’s stay are invited to contact the Ord Area Chamber and Valley County Tourism office.  Volunteers will be needed during their stay to greet riders at the Welcome Tent and to provide shuttle services around town. There are also several fundraising opportunities for local non-profit and youth groups.

Members of the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce also have the opportunity to promote their restaurant or retail store in a welcome brochure designed by the Chamber of Commerce that will be provided to all 450 cyclists upon their arrival.  Your business’ presence in the publication will entice cyclists to visit your store or restaurant during their stay.

Tour de Nebraska’s last visit to Ord in 2015 brought 270 visitors to our community and local volunteers and organizations look forward to making their 2017 visit a memorable celebration!
