Green Plains has grown significantly through evaluating new opportunities related to acquisitions of ethanol plants and through adjacent businesses. The company is proud to be a producer of a homegrown biofuel, like ethanol. Fuels containing ethanol provide increased horsepower in our vehicles while burning cooler. In addition, ethanol reduces greenhouse gas emissions by helping to replace toxic chemicals found in our fuel supply by an amount equivalent to removing nearly 20 million cars from the road. Not only is ethanol safe for our vehicles and good for the environment, it helps keep fuel prices down at the pump, creates high quality jobs, and reduces our dependence on oil from hostile nations.

Sasha Forsen, Public Relations Manager for Green Plain Inc. states “Green Plains values our customer relationships and believes that it’s mutually beneficial to work directly with the local farmers of Ord and surrounding communities. In addition, the high quality feed produced from our Ord facility provides an important feed ration to local livestock feeders, with all of our feed staying right here at home.”
