Nebraska Chamber Offering Legislative Forum in Ord

Local business owners, managers, employees and community members are invited to attend the 2015 Nebraska Legislative Forum on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce (1514 K Street, Ord). The Nebraska State Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be offering a review of key business-related bills in the 2015 session of the Nebraska Legislature, important issues awaiting Legislature in 2016 and the latest state rankings in areas important to the business community.

The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce offers valuable benefits and services for members that contribute to the growth of their business including many initiatives related to workforce retention and recruitment and educational opportunities for local businesses, such as the Legislative Forum. Barry Kennedy, President of the Nebraska Chamber states, “Job creation and workforce issues, along with the economy, taxes and government regulations, continue to be the most pressing issues facing most Nebraska communities. These forums will give local leaders more insight into the factors helping and hurting our state and its business community.”

The Forum will begin at 11:30 am with networking with local business leaders and the lunch and presentation will take place from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
