Ord Fireworks Display

Whether you spend your free summer time lounging around a campfire, cultivating the smell of fresh cut grass, reeling in a big one at your favorite fishing hole, enjoying a round of golf or taking in a youth baseball game, Valley County provides a wealth of recreational opportunities to its residents and visitors in the warm summer months. The annual Fourth of July display in Bussell Park is often a favorite for many in the area.

Thanks to the many generous donations from area residents and businesses, the City of Ord was able to provide a successful fireworks display last summer.  The City is soliciting donations to provide a show again this year on the 4th of July. While the City continues to look for an organization that would be willing to sponsor the annual display, they have agreed to organize this year’s show.  The Ord Volunteer Fire Department has generously volunteered to detonate the fireworks.

There is NO charge for the display, and everyone is welcome to attend.  However, your generosity is needed in order to continue this tradition. Please join us on the 4th of July for the fireworks display.  If you would like to contribute, please mail or deliver your donations to the City of Ord.  There is a night deposit box available.
