      Calamity Jane’s Steakhouse serves scratch cooking at its best. Here you’ll find homemade jellies (and for sale) using locally picked berries, edible flowers from the courtyard cafe and aged steaks to name a few menu items. If you’re there during warmer weather, make sure to check out Jane’s amazing garden cafe.       Cetak’s Meat Market has been making homemade sausages and cutting meat for over 70 years. A 3rd generation family business, the recipes for their homemade sausages are amazing. You can find Cetak’s in Ord here.
    • The Country Neighbor (website)

      A quick trip north from Ord through the scenic North Loup Valley and you’ll find yourself at the Country Neighbor. Built from an old schoolhouse, the Country Neighbor specializes in down home country cooking at great prices. Specialties at the Country Neighbor include chicken fried chicken, soda fountain treats, freshly baked pies and fantastic baked bread. You can find the Country Neighbor on the Fort Road nine miles north of Ord here, or on Facebook here.  Fort Hartsuff is located just one mile north of the County Neighbor, so don’t miss one of the more unique local attractions you’ll find in Central Nebraska.

      At the Pizza Palace in Burwell, you will find a family friendly dining environment that is both smoke and alcohol free.       Sandstone Grill is a local destination for food not found anywhere in the area. Their menu is filled with tasty deli sandwiches, gourmet salads, homemade soups, specialty burgers, pasta and of course steak and seafood. Homemade rolls and desserts top off an impressive menu.     • Airport Motel
      The Airport Motel is a our local motel located on the north side of Ord.  The Airport Motel is a perfect place to stop and rest as you come to the area to play and stay.  Contact the Airport Motel at (308) 728-3649.
    • By-Way Guest House (website)
      The By-Way Guest House is a historic, Sears & Roebuck catalog home in Ord that has been transformed into a bed & breakfast. The Byway Guesthouse has five bedrooms and completes its historic ambiance with a wrap around porch, spacious rooms and original bath fixtures.       Located right on the North Loup River, Riverview Cabin Retreat is local lodging right in the middle of the scenic Loup Valley. Located six miles northwest of Ord on Highway 11, you can enjoy the serene North Loup River and local wildlife like whitetail deer, pheasants and turkeys, along with seasonal species that include bald eagles, geese, ducks and pelicans.
