Quarterly Economic Development and Chamber Report

Every three months we provide a look at the past accomplishments and outcomes performed by the Valley County Economic Development Board, the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce and the Valley County Tourism Advisory Committee. New to this report is the inclusion of the Valley County Community Foundation Fund to our efforts.

This past quarter we promoted Dahn Hagge, VCCFF Coordinator to HTC Coordinator to better implement development initiatives in philanthropy, but to also accelerate our efforts in entrepreneurship development, leadership development and youth engagement. I expect a greater focus on the pillars of HomeTown Competitiveness to reap significant rewards for our area. We must be focused on developing our own future by taking control of our own destiny. Bringing the philanthropic arm of this effort under the VCED umbrella makes sense for us as a community.

Without further ado, the presentation of our efforts. During the past three months, efforts include:

Fall 2012 Quarterly Highlights

— Loup Valleys Rural Public Power Revolving Loan Fund ($88,000 available)
