The Big Give to Valley County is almost here! The 24-hour day of giving will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17th and run through 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18th.  Be a part of a day that makes a significant positive impact on Valley County.

Every dollar counts during the Big Give and 100% of your donation will directly benefit the organization(s) of your choice. There are no Big Give administrative fees taken out of individual or total donations from the event. 2014 Big Give Logo

You have several opportunities to support your favorite organizations within Valley County. Physical giving stations will be located throughout the county at all Valley County banks, the Central Community College – Ord Learning Center, Valley County Health System Lobby, Ord High School South Commons Area, Elyria Bar, Valley Fire, Arcadia Public Schools, and the Ord Vet’s Club. Specific hours for each physical giving station are posted on the Big Give webpage.  Donors have the opportunity to contribute to any of the 29 participating organizations at all physical giving stations.

You also have the opportunity to donate online to organizations with an online giving option and by mailing in a donation (must be postmarked by March 17th). Online donation links and mailing addresses are also listed on the Big Give webpage.

Youth are getting involved again this year to support the Big Give with promotion and fundraising efforts. Community members are invited to attend the Big Give kick-off event at Ord High School. The Chanticleer Shuffle will take place at 8:00 a.m. in the Ord High School New Gym.  Students at Arcadia Public Schools will be hosting an evening celebration which will include the announcement of their Penny Race results and the duct taping finale when two “lucky” teachers will be duct taped to the wall in support of the event.  Arcadia’s evening celebration will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Arcadia school.
