Website Funding Now Available to Downtown Ord Businesses

We’ve updated our Revitalize Downtown Ord Loan program to now include funding for website development.  We’re opening up our facade improvement program to also be used for our C-1 Central Business District to now use the funds to develop e-commerce sites or brochure sites, essentially an online, virtual facade improvement program.  Have a look below at our press release, and let me know if you have *any* questions! ~ Caleb

(Ord, NE) – The Ord Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new feature as part of the Revitalize Downtown Ord Loan program: website development funding.  If you are a business in the C-1 Central Business District in Ord, you can now qualify for up to $5,000 at 0% interest to develop an online presence for your business.  E-commerce, brochure websites and virtual facades are all acceptable under the Revitalize Downtown Ord Loan Program.

In 2007, the Ord Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded a $25,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka to create a revolving loan program for commercial property revitalization in downtown Ord, Nebraska. New to the program in November of 2011, is the ability for downtown businesses to develop a virtual business façade, an e-commerce website or business website. The grant application was made by First National Bank in Ord.

The loan will be repaid over a maximum of 5 years. The projects shall be consistent with the Revitalize Downtown Ord guidelines.
